Steve Davenport
Steve has been fishing nearly as long he's been walking. He grew up in Tucker, Georgia with a pond in the back yard and a pair of grandfathers who were avid fishermen. Steve picked up flyfishing when he was 14 or 15 and began tying flies shortly thereafter. Bream and bass have always been Steve's favorite targets though he spend quite a bit of time chasing trout while in school at Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia. Now living in Newnan, Georgia, Steve's days wading trout streams are less frequent since his favorite trout waters up in the mountains of northeast Georgia and western North Carolina are at least a couple of hours away. Instead, Steve has returned to his roots and frequents the rivers, ponds and lakes near home.
